Family of Hedgers
The Hedgehog family of hedgers represents OMC’s commitment to providing our customer effective, durable orchard equipment products and solutions. The Hedgehog is built in our Yuba City manufacturing plant alongside our full line of reliable, high performance orchard equipment. It features a dependable 200HP Cummins turbo-diesel engine which meets EPA Tier 4 as well as EU Stage V emissions requirements.
The Hedgehog features an air-conditioned and heated cabin with an air-ride seat and ergonomic controls such as a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, joystick controls, and a color LCD monitor to keep the driver in control and well-informed. You can leave your tape measure at home, because the Hedgehog allows the driver to precisely adjust widths and angles from inside the cab using our onboard computer system. The driver is protected by a robust steel roof structure and 1/2-inch laminated safety glass. The Hedgehog makes its way around the orchard with its hydrostatic transmission featuring a load sense hydraulic system and 4-wheel drive with traction control.
With 4-wheel steering turning the rugged 15.5-25 L3 12-ply tires, the Hedgehog makes its way through even the densest plantings with ease. For customers with hilly terrain, the Hedgehog can safely traverse up to 8-degree lateral inclines.
